New York City Art and Theater
Students will see productions at varying venues throughout the city, including Broadway and Off-Broadway theatres.
Students will visit some of the major art museums of New York with a focus that will encompass modern art history, artists, movements, and traditions.
There will also be numerous walking tours of the city, including the studios and galleries of Soho, Tribeca, and the Westside High Line. Site-specific public art will be studied, and day trips will be made to study the various architectural achievements of New York City, including the Brooklyn Bridge, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and The Empire State Building or The Freedom Tower.
This study tour fulfills the IDP general education requirement.
