Field Techniques of Vertebrate Paleontology in Montana
Field Techniques of Vertebrate Paleontology in Montana is an exciting three-week experience that includes one week of instruction on campus and two weeks in the badlands of Montana.
Students will learn the skills of collecting dinosaur bones — such as Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops — and other fossils from seasoned paleontologists.
The course includes hiking, discovering new bones, and working on sites in progress. This is a science lab course for students of all majors and it has no prerequisites aside from a passion for dinosaurs!
This study tour fulfills the Scientific Explorations general education requirement.
